Self-Service Help

Simple Troubleshooting Steps

Having a connection problem? These basic checks may help identify common issues.

01

Restart Your Router

If your devices cannot connect, first check whether your router is powered on.

If it's safe to do so, unplug the router's power adapter, wait about 30 seconds, reconnect it, and allow several minutes for the connection to return.

Avoid pressing the factory-reset button. Contact support if you're unsure which equipment should be restarted.

02

Check Your Connections

Verify that the router and its connected equipment have power.

Check that accessible Ethernet cables are properly seated and that your device is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.

Do not disconnect, bend, or attempt to repair fiber-optic cables. Contact support if equipment or cables appear damaged.

03

Check Your Internet Speed

Use a reliable speed-test service, preferably from a computer connected to the router with Ethernet.

Pause large downloads and other high-bandwidth activity before running the test. Record the download speed, upload speed, and time.

Wi-Fi and device limitations may prevent a speed test from reaching the advertised plan speed, especially on multi-gig plans.
